We Are Family! Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer: The BEST Christmas Present EVER!!

Family, Family, Family…..no matter how old you get, family is still one of the most important things in the world! They know us better than we know ourselves. They love us hard and fight with us even harder, but at the end of the day, family is there through thick and thin.

A lot of you have either met or seen my associate, Sonia, assisting with sessions, shooting your photos, or helping around the studio. Her daughter contacted me to capture her siblings and her for a Christmas present for Sonia. I SWEAR, I feel like being a photographer, photos are the “easy way out” for me when gifting, but in reality, they are some of the most personal gifts you can give someone. No matter how many times I have gifted my mom an album, a canvas, photos of her grandchildren, a session with the whole family….she is ALWAYS ecstatic. Sonia felt the same way! She cried when her children presented her with her Christmas gift. CRIED….a photographer’s assistant who takes photos for a living as well….cried!

Why? You see…..photos are special. They capture our loved ones during a certain time in their lives. In Sonia’s case, her kids are all officially adults. They have been wading through the mess of 2020 after years of challenges and hardship. YET….they still remain close and supportive of each other. The pictures tell a story. Of love, growth, joy, hardship……and STUNNING CHILDREN!! Sonia definitely can be proud of this bunch of children. They have all grown up to be stylish and BEAUTIFUL both inside and out. Respectful, kind, and motivated children. I have LOVED watching them grow and evolve over the past 5 yrs that I have known Sonia, and I was MORE than honored to capture this session as a Christmas gift for her.
